Leipzig Choral Festival
June 30 – July 7, 2022
Join singers from across the United States to sing in Leipzig
Choirs will join together in this spectacular festival culminating in a performance of Bach’s Magnificat and Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. This festival is designed with great musical and historical purpose. It honors the very rich musical heritage of Leipzig (Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Wagner, Grieg, Mahler and others). 2022 marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s translation of the New Testament into German (and participants will visit the very room in Wartburg Castle where this translation took place).
